TLC Wood Additives

In May 2005, The Langdale Company family created “TLC Wood Additives” as an addition to the Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) plant to produce wax emulsion and slack wax blends (wax melted into liquid state). These waxes are used in MDF, Oriented Strand Board (OSB), Particle board, egg cartons, press wood pallets and other products to provide control over water absorption and thickness swell, giving products dimensional stability. We also provide slack wax to a customer for emulsifying to use in the concrete curing process. In addition to servicing our MDF and OSB plants we also service outside customers in Georgia, Louisiana, Alabama and Mexico.
